MGI PhotoSuite II supports the industry-wide TWAIN specification for scanners, digital cameras, and other photo input devices that you may have attached to your computer. Note that this option applies only to scanners supporting the TWAIN specification.

To acquire photos from a scanner:

1. Click the Photos button on the Navigation panel if you wish to edit the photo. Click the Albums button if you wish to add the photo to a photo album.

2. Click the Get Photo icon located below the buttons.

3. Select Scanner from the flyout of options displayed.

4. Select a scanner from the TWAIN Device list.

5. Click the Get Photo button to activate the TWAIN software that was installed with the scanner. The photo stored by the scanner is displayed in a window as a thumbnail.

   Note: To open the photo for editing purposes, double-click its thumbnail, or right-click its thumbnail, and select Open from the menu displayed. The photo is opened and displayed in the Work area.
